Spaghetti Sauce Basic 1 lg. to med. minced onion 2 cloves of garlic crushed 3 to 4 lbs of ground beef or turkey 2 28oz cans of crushed tomatoes (Cento) 1 can of tomato paste 1 cup of red wine butter or olive oil 1 tsp salt pepper to taste 1 tblsp oregano Over medium high heat In a large stew pot sweat the onions in 3 tsp of butter or oil next add the meat and garlic stir and mix with a spatula until the meat has browned. Next add salt, pepper, oregano, and wine cook until you cannot smell the alcohol from the wine. Next add the crushed tomatoes and the tomato paste. Stir untill thoroughly mixed reduce heat to low and allow to simmer up to 30 minutes. If too thin continue simmer if too thick add a little water and stir thoroughly until the consistancy is right. you can also add mushrooms or zucchini or bell pepper at the onion stage.
